Three Arrested For Child Porn in Barrow County

According to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, the three men all either possessed illegal images, had shared them online, or both.

BARROW COUNTY, GA — Three men have been arrested in Barrow County for possessing and distributing child pornography.

The arrests, announced by the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, came after the sheriff's office received tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Search warrants then were issued and executed on the men's homes and electronics.

Jason Eric Bramlett, of Auburn, was arrested on March 30 and charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of children. Three of the charges were for images he possessed dating back to 2013 and the remaining five charges were for distributing illegal images on the internet, the sheriff's department said.

David Ryan Steeley, of Winder, also was arrested on March 30. He is charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of children. Two counts were for distributing illegal images and two were for possessing video of minors engaged in sex acts, authorities said.

Steeley also was charged with 16 counts of criminal attempt to commit sexual exploitation of children for his alleged online activity. He was out on bond from Hall County on a previous charge of child molestation.

A condition of Steeley's bond, the sheriff's office said, was to have no contact with children, but deputies say they found one child at his residence when they executed a search warrant. Steeley remains in ail at the Barrow County Detention Center.

Jeffrey Clayton Yancey, of Winder, was arrested last Tuesday, April 18. He was charged with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of children. Seven were for possessing illegal images and videos and eight were for distributing other illegal images, the sheriff's office said.

Yancey also was charged with several drug offenses, including possession of methamphetamine, three counts of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

All three cases remain under investigation, according to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. Investigators are conducting full forensic examinations on the electronics removed from the arrestees homes and more charges are pending, should more illegal content be discovered.
