Two Dead, One Arrested In Strange Walton County Shooting
Officers were originally called to what was believed to have been a car crash Monday, but was later determined to be a homicide scene.

LOGANVILLE, GA — Two men are dead and a juvenile is in custody after a strange shooting case in southern Walton County.
Monday afternoon, authorities were called to Clegg Farm Road for what was initially believed to be a car wreck. But, upon arrival, officers from the Walton County Sheriff's Office and Social Circle Police Department found evidence to lead them to believe that the two apparent victims were already dead before the car crashed.
On Tuesday, the sheriff's office confirmed that the two men had been shot multiple times.

A juvenile was in custody, according to the sheriff's office, charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault. The alleged shooter's name was not released because of his age.
According to Sheriff Joe Chapman, the men had traveled to Walton from Meriwether County to carry out a sale that had been arranged on a social media site. Investigators believe more people were involved in the shooting and are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Police offer the following tips for people looking to buy or sell items from an unknown person:
- Always meet the buyer or seller at an exchange zone that is well populated, well lit, and preferably at a designated police exchange zone.
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going to meet someone and when possible, take a friend with you.
- Inform the buyer/seller that you will not be alone.
- Trust your instincts – if it sounds like a scam or too good to be true, it probably is.
- Do not invite strangers into your home.
- Never give out any personal or financial information.
