Two People Wounded In Gwinnett Shooting
The shooting suspect remained at large Thursday afternoon and may still be armed, Gwinnett County Police said.

SNELLVILLE, GA — Two people were shot, one of them in the face, late Thursday morning near Snellville.
Gwinnett County Police were on the scene Thursday afternoon of the double shooting on Highpoint Court, near Highpoint Road just southwest of Snellville city limits. Details of the shooting were still emerging Thursday afternoon as the investigation continued.
According to police, the two victims were taken to Eastside Medical Center in a private vehicle. Hospital staff alerted police at 11:19 a.m., after the victims arrived.

Officers responded to Highpoint Court and say they found evidence of the shooting. There was an abandoned vehicle at the residence where the shooting is believed to have taken place.
One victim was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head, said police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera. The other was being treated at Eastside for non-life threatening injuries.

The victim who was shot in the face, an adult male in his 30s, was listed in stable condition at Grady, Pihera said. The other victim is described as a male juvenile. He was shot in the back.
The suspected shooter remained at large Thursday afternoon.
He is described as a light-skinned black male in his early 20s with facial hair and a short afro. He was wearing a white shirt, camo shorts and white sneakers. He is possibly still armed, police said.
