- Police arrested a 44-year old Gwinnett County man, this weekend, after a call from a woman indicated that he raped her in his apartment. Over a dozen police officers raided the apartment of Hassan Shalgheen, who claims to be a "witch doctor" or shaman. According to reports, women visited him for unorthodox services, but instead, he sexually assaulted multiple women during the rituals. Police executed a search warrant of his apartment and gathered DNA as they arrested him on multiple charges. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking that if anyone was assaulted to please contact law enforcement and come forward to file a report. (Newsbreak)
- Jeremy Goodman, a 31-year old man, crashed his car, head on, into another Gwinnett County man's vehicle, at the Bethesda Court intersection early Sunday morning. The driver that caused the crash will face DUI-drug charges, and first degree homicide by vehicle, after crossing the yellow line high on marijuana and giving the oncoming driver no time to react. Unfortunately, 44 year-old, "Juan Olivares-Rotten died on impact." The suspect was taken to the hospital with two broken feet. He will remain at the hospital until he's booked into the Gwinnett County jail. (Newsbreak)
- The Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office is taking applications for their "hands-on experience in the criminal justice system." The 2023 Junior District Attorney and Investigator Mentorship Program will be selecting people to "work directly with investigators and assistant district attorneys." Applications are due by April 21 and the program will run from June 14 to June 28 and students must be enrolled in a Gwinnett County public school and be between the ages of 15 and 18. (Newsbreak)

- With the No. 1 playoff seed on the line, the Grayson Rams Boys basketball team pulled off a big win Friday night to secure their No. 1 spot. The Rams won 63-56 in what proved to be a close game against Newton. Due to storm damage, the Rams will enter the playoffs at neutral site, Newton, rather than on their own court. (Newsbreak) The Grayson Rams Girls basketball team finished their regular season with a win over Newton. The win gives the Rams momentum moving into the playoffs as the finish tied for No. 2 in their region and with the No. 3 playoff seed due to a points differential. (Newsbreak)
