LOGANVILLE, GA — The Walton County Sheriff's office shares incidents of interest with the public.Here are some of the calls the sheriff's office handled recently in the Loganville area.

Saturday, June 10

Damage to Property — Deputies responded to the area of Park Place in reference to an unknown individual placing a bench and a concrete mass on top of a fire hydrant. Items were removed.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Double Springs Road and Bullock Bridge Road. Driver was life-flighted to Atlanta, pending charges in reference to being involved in a hit and run accident that occurred in Zone 7 prior to this accident. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Arrest — Walter Martin was arrested in the area of Emily Way for battery and outstanding warrants out of Dekalb County following a physical dispute.

Suspicious Vehicle — Deputies responded to a church on Rosebud Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle on location. Deputies made contact with the driver, whose license was suspended for Failing to Appear in court. Motorist was given a courtesy ride to residence, and vehicle was towed.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Tom Brewer Road. No life-threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.


Friday, June 9

Suspicious Person — Deputies responded to a report at Bay Creek Church on Grady Smith Road in reference to three juveniles violating curfew. Parents were notified. Juveniles released to parents.

Fraud — Deputies took a report at a residence on Seth’s Ridge in reference to an unknown individual filing for social security benefit’s with the complainant’s information.

Arrest — Thandizo Rice was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Cown Road for Driving Under the Influence, Child Endangerment, and Child Restraint Violations.

Thursday, June 8

Arrest — Anthony Mathis was arrested at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Road for outstanding Probation Violation warrant following a welfare check

Arrest — Phillip Henson was arrested at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Road for Possession of Marijuana Less than One Ounce following a welfare check.

Extra Patrol — Extra patrol was requested at a business on Highway 81 in reference to unknown individuals on location after hours.

Extra Patrol — Extra patrol was requested in the area of Zach’s Creek Subdivision in reference to on ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Bold Springs Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Wednesday, June 7

Extra Patrol — Extra patrol was requested at a business on Highway 81 in reference to a suspicious person casing the building.

Suspicious Vehicle — Deputies responded to the area of Highway 81 and Bentley Road in reference to two vehicles racing. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact with any vehicles speeding. Everything appeared to be okay.

Arrest — Dean Harrison was arrested at a business on Claude Brewer Road for Possession of Marijuana less than One Ounce.

Lost Item — Deputies took a report at a residence on Marce Camp Road in reference to complainant’s firearm being lost. The firearm was entered on to the national database.

Trespassing — Deputies responded to the area of Anslee Lane in Anslee Lake Subdivision in reference to unknown individuals trespassing on the Rock Quarry. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact. Everything appeared to be okay.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 20 and Miller Bottom Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

Tuesday, June 6

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 11 and Eliza Doster Road. No known injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Youth Monroe Road. No known injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.


Monday, June 5

Suspicious Vehicle — Deputies took a report at a residence on Bullock Terrace in reference to white Nissan being parked for an extended period of time outside of complainant’s residence. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with the vehicle. Everything appeared to be okay.

Suspicious Vehicle — Deputies responded to a business on Highway 81 in reference to a complaint of a vehicle being on location after hours. Two individuals, a male and a female juvenile, were found to be sleeping in the vehicle.

Arrest — Frederick Holcker was arrested at a residence on Atkinson Road in reference to Giving a False Name to Officers following a verbal dispute with the complainant.
