What's at the Market for January 15th?

It's been a few weeks since the New Year and all the resolutions to have a healthy 2014! If you've resolved to eat better and that means eat fresh, locally grown produce and locally made breads ... you NEED to come out to Grayson for the market this week!

Miss Lynda is going to be there with grass fed beef, pastured Birkshire pork, chicken and free range eggs. And LOCAL honey! You KNOW how good that is for you, right? And just because the "party season" is over, doesn't mean you can't spiffy up dinner with some goat cheese products and that creamy mozarella that goes so well with EVERYTHING!

From the produce aisle, there will be China Rose Radishes, Purple top turnips, some carrots, Kale, Collards, Baby Spinach, Japanese Sweet Potatoes, Baby Pak Choy, Blue Curled Kale, Cilantro and quite possibly some lettuce! And mushrooms! Yes, we'll have fresh oyster mushrooms!

Our bakers are bringing biscotti, cookies, mini pan breads and loaves of fresh bread.

The food trucks will be returning in the spring, but for now, we've got some burgers, some barbeque and some fresh hummus.

The days are getting longer. It's time to head back to Grayson to say hello to a few of your favorite farmers!

Market hours are still Wednesdays from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. under the Pavilion in Grayson Community Park.
