Who Does Grayson Play in Second Round of GHSA Playoffs?

Grayson High and the rest of its Region 8 qualifiers had a Friday night sweep in the Georgia High School Association football playoffs.

The Rams (10-1) beat Mill Creek 24-6 in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs in Hoschton as all four Region 8 qualifiers advanced.

It was one of four all-Gwinnett matchups in the first round pairing regions 7 and 8 against each other. Also Friday, Archer beat Norcross 38-22, Dacula beat Peachtree Ridge 17-14 and Central Gwinnett beat North Gwinnett 12-9.

Chase Brice rushed and passed for touchdowns and Jordan Hayes returned a punt 72 yards for a TD in Grayson’s win, according to AccessNorthGA.com. Cedric Asseh caught a TD pass, and Austin Hoyt kicked a 42-yeard field goal.

Next up for Grayson is a second-round game on the road against Tucker next Friday. Tucker beat Tift County Friday in the first round.
