100-Year-Old Woman Has Volunteered Nearly 40 Years, Donated $1M: Report

A 100-year-old woman has logged more than 6,000 volunteer hours at Northside Hospital Duluth.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A 100-year-old woman has volunteered for nearly 40 years at the reception desk at Northside Hospital Duluth, reported WSB-TV. She’s also donated more than $1 million to the hospital, according to the station.

Dorothy Rainey retired at age 58 from Shell Oil Company and decided to give her time at Northside, reported WSB. Since 1985, she has logged more than 6,000 hours, according to the news station.
