Simultaneously, a 75-year-old Atlanta man was driving a 2018 Kia Sportage out of a parking lot and was attempting a left turn onto Veterans Memorial, police said.

The Kia then traveled into the path of the Kawasaki, and the front of the motorcycle then hit the driver's side of the Kia, police said.

Evans was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a rest in the westbound lane of Veterans Memorial, police said.

The Kawasaki spun in a counterclockwise direction and also rested in the westbound lane, with the front of the motorcycle facing east, police said.

The Kia rotated counterclockwise and rested perpendicular to the eastbound lanes, facing north, police said.

The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Evans dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wellstar Cobb Medical Center, police said.
