Motorcyclist Killed In Cobb Crash ID'ed
A man who was ejected from his motorcycle during a recent crash has died, Cobb County Police say.
MARIETTA, GA — A man is dead after his motorcycle was hit by a SUV Wednesday evening in the 1100 block of Veterans Memorial Highway, police say.
The fatal crash happened around 6:30 p.m., when 23-year-old Powder Springs resident Egarnoise Evans was driving a 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle west on Veterans Memorial, Cobb County Police said Thursday.
Simultaneously, a 75-year-old Atlanta man was driving a 2018 Kia Sportage out of a parking lot and was attempting a left turn onto Veterans Memorial, police said.

The Kia then traveled into the path of the Kawasaki, and the front of the motorcycle then hit the driver's side of the Kia, police said.
Evans was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a rest in the westbound lane of Veterans Memorial, police said.

The Kawasaki spun in a counterclockwise direction and also rested in the westbound lane, with the front of the motorcycle facing east, police said.
The Kia rotated counterclockwise and rested perpendicular to the eastbound lanes, facing north, police said.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced Evans dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wellstar Cobb Medical Center, police said.
