CareSource to Host Atlanta Career and Development Fair on June 14

CareSource is partnering with 16 Atlanta area companies and governmental agencies for workshops on resume writing, job Interviewing and more

ATLANTA – CareSource, Georgia’s first and only nonprofit organization serving the Medicaid market, is partnering with 16 Atlanta area companies and governmental agencies to host a career and development fair on Thursday, June 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event will take place at the Oak Hill Child, Family and Adolescent Center, located at 2805 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA 30315.

In addition to interviewing with companies to explore local employment opportunities, attendees can attend development workshops on job searching, resume writing and review, tips for a successful job interview, and more.

CareSource offers a Life Services program, which is unique to Georgia, and is based on a successful model that CareSource developed and perfected over the past 29 years. JobConnect, a part of the Life Services program, teaches marketable skills and offers job training to its members.

“CareSource is deeply committed to working with community partners to help Medicaid members remove obstacles to self-sustainability, and a big part of that is finding reliable employment,” said Bobby Jones, president of the Georgia Market for CareSource. “This event is one of many that CareSource is committed to hosting in partnership with public and private sector employers now and in the future.”

The event will be attended by 16 leading Atlanta companies, including Atlanta Public Schools, Bellhaven University, Cobb County Schools, Chattahoochee Technical College, Fastenal, FedEx, Hyatt, Job 1 USA, Lowe's, MARTA, Marriott Marquis, Per Scholas, PrimeAmerica, Tip Top Staffing, Top Job, and Zaxby's.

This CareSource Career and Development Fair is free and open to the public. To attend, you must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Attendees are encouraged to bring several copies of a resume and should be prepared to spend two hours at the event.
