Chile Relleno Festival at Zocalo

Celebrate Mexico's acclaimed chile relleno dish at Zocalo during the cantina's inaugural Chile Relleno Festival

Dating back to the 16th century in Puebla, Mexico, traditional chile relleno was comprised of a poblano pepper stuffed, battered in egg or masa flour and fried. Today, the fillings, sauces and peppers used to make the meal can vary by region, season and personal taste. Zocalo celebrates this versatile recipe with a special, limited-time menu featuring modern twists on the traditional dish and festive cocktails. The festival will take place from Monday, August 18, through Tuesday, September 16.
