Dead Dogs Wrapped in Plastic Discovered in Southwest Atlanta

Residents suspect that the dogs were involved in illegal fighting rings.

A southwest Atlanta neighborhood has made three gruesome discoveries over the past six weeks, namely the bodies of dead dogs stuffed in bags and dumped on the side of the road.

Residents of the Capitol View neighborhood want answers as to who is dumping the bodies, and wonder if the incidents are related to dog fighting, reports Creative Loafing.

Each time a dog is discovered, residents contact the city to dispose of the bodies. Residents complain that the city’s response is slow, however, and bodies are only being recovered when Capitol View residents threaten to go to the media about the situation.
