Fulton Fire Chief: Hey Kids, Don't Set Yourselves on Fire
A new internet fad called the "fire challenge" is sweeping the nation and causing permanent damage to some of the participants.

Normally, this would not need an explanation, but a recent internet fad has prompted the Fulton County Fire Chief to remind young people that setting themselves on fire is a bad idea.
Chief Larry Few went to WSB-TV, trying to get ahead of the spread of the “fire challenge” and inform parents that they need to be aware of the dangers the videos involve.
Challenge videos have appeared sporadically on video sites like YouTube, with popular entries being the cinnamon challenge and more recently, the ice water challenge. Fortunately, the latter challenge, though uncomfortable, has done wonders for fundraising for ALS research.

You would think that a parent would try to discourage their child from participating in the fire challenge, but one mother in North Carolina has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for actually helping her child pull off the stunt.
