King was on I-75 near 17th Street setting flares to block two lanes of traffic after a previous accident when he was hit by a 2006 Mazda driven by Clark. Clark’s Mazda then smashed into another vehicle, police said.
Clark’s defense lawyer hopes that dashcams on vehicles dispatched to work the original accident were in position to record the incident which injured King.
Clark faces charges of DUI, serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving, improper passing of an emergency vehicle, driving with an expired license plate decal, and improper/erratic lane change, Fulton County jail records show.
