Maggie Jones Joins Dorsey Alston

Budding Intown real estate star Maggie Jones has joined Dorsey Alston Realtors, Atlanta’s oldest and largest independent residential real estate firm. With one and a half years under her belt, the young Realtor has sold more than $10 million and was named Rookie of the Year.

“Maggie is a fantastic agent. She has great attention to detail and spends a lot of time with each client, and she’s a Millennial,” said Michael Rogers, President, Dorsey Alston. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the Dorsey Alston family.”

Jones got her start in real estate when she bought a run-down house in Kirkwood, renovated it and sold it at the top of the market. This ignited a passion, which she inherited from her grandmother, who sold residential real estate in Newport Beach, California. She comes to Dorsey Alston from Harry Norman Realtors, where she focused on Intown markets.

Jones grew up in San Antonio and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. Her mother grew up in Atlanta, which factored into her move east. She lives in Morningside with her husband and their Saint Bernard.

She chose Dorsey Alston because of its reputation and size.

“They have found a perfect balance of casting a wide net through the metro Atlanta area, but have not lost the personal touch that makes this industry special,” she said. “It's like being a part of a tight-knit family. Jones is bullish on the Intown market for 2018, pointing to the ongoing commercial development, which typically drives residential real estate. She likes the diversity of the Intown neighborhoods, with each area having its own distinct style from the homes to the restaurants parks.

“There is something for everyone from Chamblee to Kirkwood,” she said.
