Maintain Mind, Body Balance at Exhale

Stress Have You Holding Your Breath? Let it Out at Loews Atlanta Hotel Spa.

Feeling off kilter? Time for a tune-up.

The philosophy of the Exhale spa at is to help folks achieve and maintain mind/body balance. And so the service menu ranges from luxurious spa treatments like facials, massages and manicures/pedicures to wellness programs like acupuncture and nutritional coaching to workout classes featuring yoga, cycling, the spa’s signature Core Fusion and more.

Core Fusion is a “blend of yoga, pilates and ballet bar,” says Brianna Norton, mind body manager. “Created by Elisabeth Halfpapp and Fred Devito in New York City 30 years ago, it’s a strength-building core-supporting top-down full-body workout with a mind/body connection—you really should take a class, you’ll love it!”

Within Exhale’s 22,500 square-foot space are 15 treatment rooms, two studios for yoga and Core Fusion workouts, a gym outfitted with cardiovascular and strength equipment and also a co-ed hammam — a Turkish hot-room with more stable temperatures than a sauna or steam room.

If such an extensive range of options seems overwhelming, navigational help is available. “You can consult with a mind body manager to help map out a program,” says Norton. It’s also possible to choose a personal trainer from the team of experts—all of whom have completed a proprietary 275-hour Core Fusion program plus other certification requirements for their area of specialty.

A private training coach helps you set goals and map out the route to success. What’s more, “you can have a private session in any of the classes we offer,” says Norton. Beginners might opt for a Core Fusion basic, beginning yoga class or any cycling class.

“Under the Core Fusion umbrella there are many classes and cross-training would be important,” says Norton. “We’d definitely mix it up.”

Private training sessions are priced at $50 for non-members for a 30-minute session or $99 for an hour; multi-session packages are also available at reduced per-session rates. Single-session classes start at $24. Memberships start at $120/month.

Exhale is located at the Loews Atlanta Hotel, 1065 Peachtree St. NE. For more information call 404-720-5000 or visit www.exhalespa.com.
