UPDATE: Police Say No Suspect in Custody in Atlantic Station Shooting
The victim has been taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.

UPDATE (8:15 a.m., Tuesday): Atlanta police have refuted a statement made by an Atlantic Station spokesman which claimed that the person who shot a man just outside the property on Monday night had been taken into custody.
Spokesman Ralph Woolfolk told Patch Tuesday morning that, contrary to a statement made by Tony Wilbert, no suspects had been arrested in the shooting at a valet parking lot at the Twelve Hotel.
The victim remains hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital.

UPDATE (12:30 a.m., Tuesday): An Atlantic Station spokesman has released a statement regarding the shooting which occurred in a valet area at the Twelve Hotel just outside the property on Monday night.
“We are following the developments in connection with Monday night’s shooting a Twelve Hotel, which is adjacent to our Town Center,” said Tony Wilbert in a statement released just after midnight Tuesday.

Wilbert said that he had learned from Atlanta police that the suspect and the victim most likely knew each other, and added that a suspect was in custody.

ORIGINAL STORY (11:23 p.m., Monday): Atlanta Police are combing the Midtown area for whoever was responsible for shooting a man at Atlantic Station on Monday evening.
Police spokesman Ralph Woolfolk told Patch that the man was shot at least once inside a private parking lot near the intersection of 17th Street and Atlantic Drive at approximately 8:10 p.m.
Paramedics soon arrived on the scene and transported the wounded man to Grady Memorial Hospital. Woolfolk said that the man is currently in critical condition.
Police have not identified a suspect in the shooting or any possible motive.
