Man Stabs Pit Bull Inside Georgia PetSmart

The shelter dog was tugging on the ear of another dog when that dog's owner pulled out a pocket knife and started stabbing the pit bull.

A pit bull who got loose from her handler inside a Georgia PetSmart was stabbed by the owner of another dog when the pit bull started tugging on the other dog’s ear, 11 Alive News reports.

According to police, a Newnan-Coweta Humane Society volunteer was walking a pit bull named Clara inside the Newnan PetSmart on Sunday afternoon when Clara slipped out of her collar and came upon a white Westie Terrier who was also inside the store. Clara started tugging on the Westie’s ear, and a witness said she eventually had the Westie by the scruff of its neck.

Several witnesses then said that the owner of the Westie started yelling at Clara and then pulled out a pocket knife and started stabbing her. PetSmart employees rushed to the scene and used an air horn and a spray bottle to separate the two dogs. It was not clear whether the dogs were fighting or playing.
