Bethea has been arrested three times over the last 14 months on battery charges. He waived his court appearance on Tuesday, and has been rescheduled for another appearance on March 22.
Bethea is also accused of sucker punching a high school student walking along Crescent Avenue shortly after he was released from jail on Oct. 28, 2015. He had been incarcerated from January to July on aggravated battery charges, and returned to jail in September on charges of simple assault.

Detectives used bank security camera footage which captured the attack to identify Bethea as the suspect in the attack on the high school student. The victim suffered head trauma and damage to his right ear.
When Bethea was arrested in January, police said they were aware of at least four attacks that could be tied to him. Bethea allegedly approached a victim, punched him or her from behind, and continued walking as if nothing had happened.
In the most recent incident, police say Bethea punched a man at 1080 Peachtree Street, and then continued toward Crescent Avenue.
