Nectar & Piedmont Park Raise the Bar On Healthy Vending
Nectar, an Atlanta-based raw juice bar and smoothie shop, is opening a new location at Piedmont Park on May 23, 2015 during Memorial Day weekend. The location will be open seven days a week and offers healthy handcrafted juices, smoothies and panini, to hungry and thirsty park goers in Atlanta.

Nectar and Piedmont Park are raising the bar on healthy vending. Piedmont Park goers will now have access to Nectar’s Green Smoothie made with kale, cucumber, organic apples and pineapple right in the middle of the park. Runners can get an Acai Smoothie with real acai coming from Brazil after a run or workout in the park, or sip a Coconut Mega Smoothie sitting by the beautiful newly-renovated Piedmont Park pool. Come by way of the Atlanta Beltline and reward yourself with a cool swim and a fresh smoothie!
Nectar opened six years ago in Decatur, GA to upgrade the Atlanta healthy eating scene. Nectar offers raw juices, smoothies made with super fruits shipped from the Amazon, and gluten-free and vegetarian options all under one roof. “Raw juices and smoothies are made fresh to order just like in Rio de Janeiro where you can find a juice bar on every corner,” says co-owner and Brazilian-born Naruna Rangel.

To help spread their healthy living mantra throughout the city, Nectar added two food trucks to their health food concept that received national attention. Nectar’s food truck was named “One of the healthiest food trucks in America” by Huffington Post.
“We enjoy making a difference in people’s lives by offering them fresh, nutritious foods. By eating better, our customers are taking steps to improve their quality of life. Their relationships with family and friends improve and this creates a healthier community. Nectar has also been serving major television and film productions in Atlanta like Vampire Diaries, Finding Cater (MTV) and others. Jack Black hired the Nectar Food Truck to serve smoothies and raw juices to crew members for his new movie Goosebumps. Celebrities such as Sophia Vergara have ordered the Nectar Cleanse.
