Obama to Visit Georgia Tech Tomorrow

Be prepared for extensive traffic delays and diversions while the President is in the Midtown area.

President Barack Obama, fresh off the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Selma’s Bloody Sunday, will be making a stop in Atlanta to speak at Georgia Tech on Tuesday.

No clear details on the president’s talking points have been released by the White House, but it’s expected that he will touch on education issues. At a recent speaking engagement in South Carolina, Obama touted initiatives meant to give education and work experience to young African-Americans, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said.

The president’s arrival and speech will cause some traffic delays and diversions, but after the morning rush hour finishes up; Guests for Obama’s speech can enter the McCamish Pavilion at 10:30 a.m., with the speech beginning some time after that, according to the AJC.

After the speech, the president is scheduled to head a Democratic fundraiser with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, the AJC said.
