One of the GOP’s hopefuls for the White House had to spend several hours in a slightly less-glamorous locale on Monday and Tuesday after the airline he was scheduled to fly on had to deal with a few issues.
Former Gov. Mike Huckabee was stranded at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport while Delta Airlines first sat out weather-related delays, and then had to repair a broken plane. The delay didn’t sit too well with the candidate, who was scheduled to appear in Iowa on Tuesday and was forced to cancel one of his events due to the delays.

“Really hate missing my events in Iowa while I am held up in Atlanta airport,” Huckabee tweeted just before 9 a.m. He said he had been at the airport since Monday night.
Fortunately, the airport’s twitter account set the former governor up with Delta’s support twitter account, and it appears as though Huckabee has made it to Iowa.

Huckabee had been in Atlanta to participate in the RedState Gathering, a conservative forum which drew ire from Donald Trump after he was unceremoniously dumped from the guest list following remarks about FOX News Anchor Megyn Kelly.
