Police say that Maricius D. Palmer, 17, and a juvenile accomplice would approach the valet employee protecting the lock box full of patrons’ car keys. One of the suspects would distract the employee, while the other would break into the lock box, retrieve some keys, and drive off in the vehicles.
On Thursday night, the thieves stole a gold 2011 Land Rover and white 2014 BMW from the valet parking lot of Midtown’s Ecco restaurant. Seemingly not content with the haul, the suspects allegedly stole another two cars from a restaurant in Buckhead, 11 Alive said.

Unfortunately for the suspects, police say, one of the stolen cars was equipped with GPS, and police used the owner’s cell phone to track the pilfered vehicle to the 200 block of Richardson Street. Once there, police found three other vehicles, including the vehicles stolen from Midtown on Thursday, WSB-TV said.
