The Georgia Tech student who suffered a severe brain injury when he fell out of his bunk bed is making significant progress in his recovery.
Clark Jacobs fell out of the bed at his fraternity house and hit his head on a linoleum floor in January. He suffered a fractured skull and a brain bleed; since live-saving surgery, Clark has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation at Buckhead’s Shepherd Center and can now walk with assistance and can speak again now that his chest tube has been removed, WSB-TV reports.

Clark’s mother is leading a movement to install safety railings on bunk beds to prevent what happened to her son happening to anyone else; the fraternity house where the accident happened has already installed such railings and is pushing for other fraternities to follow their example.
Clark’s uncle set up a GoFundMe account at the time of the accident to help defray some of the looming medical costs. If you would like to contribute to the fund, use the widget below.
