A man and his partner were attacked in Midtown in an alleged hate crime in March of 2014, but police have not made any arrests in the case despite cell phone camera footage which clearly shows the suspect and the license plate of the car he was riding in.
According to 11 Alive, partners James Reed and Bryan Long were standing at the corner of 11th and Juniper streets on the evening of March 7, 2014 when a BMW began honking at them incessantly. The men told 11 Alive that a man jumped out of the BMW’s passenger seat, used an anti-homosexual slur, and punched Reed in the back of the head.

Long took out his cell phone and recorded the face of the alleged attacker, who flipped off Long. Long then recorded the license plate of the BMW using his cell phone.
Atlanta police told 11 Alive that they had spoken to the driver of the BMW, but he denied knowing who his passenger was. He is described as a light-skinned young male wearing a Braves hat and a red t-shirt.
