Tree Crushes Midtown Home
A series of violent, popup storms roared throughout portions of Atlanta Tuesday night, leaving damage and gridlock in their wake.

ATLANTA, GA — A series of brief but violent thunderstorms roared through Atlanta beginning around rush-hour on Tuesday, leaving damage and gridlocked traffic in their wake.
Traffic was impacted even further by a gas leak in Midtown that evacuated one apartment community and left portions of Piedmont Road and Ponce de Leon Avenue completely blocked.
Around 10:30, a tree fell onto a Midtown home. None of the four people inside were injured, but one woman had to be rescued by Atlanta firefighters, according to WSB.
