UPDATE: Colquitt Co. authorities have located the missing 15-year-old girl (walb.com) — Authorities say the 15-year-old girl last seen near 11th Street NW in Moultrie has now been safely located, according to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office. She’d been missing about 24 hours and was believed to possibly be traveling toward Albany with another female before being found.

School board adopts its property tax rate (moultrieobserver.com) — Moultrie-area homeowners will see no school property tax hike this year after the Colquitt County Board of Education adopted a slightly lower rollback millage rate of 7.721 instead of a planned increase. District leaders say careful budgeting and cost savings allowed them to ease off the earlier proposal while still managing rising expenses, and county commissioners are set to finalize their own millage rates next.
