• Bryant, Mobley perform well in state swim meet (moultrieobserver.com) — Young swimmers from the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority turned in strong performances at the state championship meet, with multiple top-six finishes and relay medals. Local standouts Hannah Bryant and Allie Mobley each placed in three individual events and helped two relays win bronze, while several other Colquitt County swimmers scored top-eight finishes against nearly 600 competitors.

• 2026 Georgia Farmer of the Year: Pete Gelber (morningagclips.com) — Moultrie will help spotlight Georgia agriculture as the Sunbelt Ag Expo recognizes Montezuma dairyman Pete Gelber as the 2026 Georgia Farmer of the Year. His 10,000-acre dairy and cropping operation emphasizes sustainability, manure reuse, and community education, and he’ll compete for the overall Southeastern Farmer of the Year honor when judges visit finalists before the Expo’s awards luncheon in Moultrie.
