1. PCOM South Georgia takes health education on the road with new MedROVer (valdostadailytimes.com) — Moultrie residents can now visit PCOM South Georgia’s new MedROVer mobile clinic, which offers free health screenings and wellness education right from the college’s parking lot. Staff and students provide blood pressure checks and information on diabetes, mental health, and nutrition, and can help connect you with local providers. The MedROVer is open to the public every Tuesday in September and October from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
   

2. Prince Automotive Group Donates $378,240 in Automotive Parts to SRTC (laniercountynewsonline.com) — Automotive students at SRTC’s Moultrie campus will gain access to nearly $380,000 in donated parts from Prince Automotive Group, giving them more real-world training tools in class. The gift strengthens local workforce development and supports residents preparing for automotive careers, with the enhanced Automotive Technology programs available in Moultrie and spring semester enrollment already open.
   

3. Colquitt County Family Connection still connecting people with local resources (moultrieobserver.com) — Moultrie families can tap Colquitt County Family Connection to get connected with local help for early literacy, mental health, and other needs just by calling the coordinator’s office. Monthly noon Collaborative meetings at the Arts Center of Moultrie bring nonprofits together, and the group also leads the Teen Maze program for all eighth-graders on Oct. 7.
   

4. 2026 AGC Georgia Skills Challenge Series returns to Rome in October (wrganews.com) — High school construction students and industry pros will converge in Moultrie on November 5 for the South and Southwest Georgia Skills Challenge, part of a statewide competition series. Local teens can test their abilities in trades like carpentry, welding, and electrical work while connecting directly with contractors and workforce leaders who are eager to recruit future talent.
   

5. Erving has national championship, Super Bowl rings (moultrieobserver.com) — A former Colquitt County High standout from Moultrie, Cameron Erving, is being inducted into the Colquitt County Sports Hall of Fame after a career that includes a national title at Florida State and a Super Bowl win with the Chiefs. His family still lives and works in Moultrie, and many plan to attend his October induction and recognition at a Packers home game.
