• JDA hears update on Rivian plant (covnews.com) — Newton County stands to receive 37.5% of the growing revenue from the massive Rivian electric-vehicle plant and other Stanton Springs industries, even though construction is still mostly underground work. JDA officials say vertical construction should start by year’s end, with new power infrastructure, Meta’s data center expansion, and future emergency services planning all helping shape long-term jobs and tax benefits for the four-county area.
