2. Nichols Cauley grows Southeast presence, acquires Norcross firm (roughdraftatlanta.com) — A longtime employee benefits firm headquartered just outside Norcross has been acquired by Georgia-based accounting and advisory company Nichols Cauley, bringing new financial backing and expanded services to local employers. The LaRocco Companies' Lakeside office on Live Oak Parkway will remain a key hub as the combined firm broadens its benefits and risk-management expertise across metro Atlanta and the Southeast.
3. North Atlanta hosts Norcross in tough non-region battle (fultonneighbor.com) — Norcross High's football team heads to Henderson Stadium on Sept. 11 for a non-region showdown against North Atlanta, which views Norcross as a perennial Gwinnett powerhouse. With Norcross coming off a 1-1 start and a long postseason streak, this matchup offers local fans an early-season test of how strong the Blue Devils may be this year.
4. Suniva Raises $835 Million To Expand Solar Cell Capacity To 5.5 GW (pulse2.com) — Solar manufacturer Suniva, which already runs a 1‑gigawatt solar cell plant in Norcross, has raised $835 million to build a much larger facility in South Carolina and boost total U.S. capacity to 5.5 gigawatts. While the new jobs will be created out of state, the investment underscores Norcross's role in the company's growing domestic manufacturing network and America's push for energy independence.
