Love for Reading Nourished at Beaver Ridge Bookmobile

I heard delightful squeals of recognition as children found books they knew and loved among the books they want to read. "Oh, there's the princess books!" or "I love to read anything about world war II."

Today was the first of four visits the Beaver Ridge Bookmobile will make to three apartment complexes in Norcross.

Children can check out two to three books each and bring them back the next week to exchange for more.

They scrambled over the book bins and were so excited to be able to have new books to read.

The bookmobile will be going to Bridgewater, Stanford Village and Bradford Apartment complexes June 17, June 24 and July 1 from 10 a.m. to Noon.

The volunteers also gave out icicle treats to each child that checked out a book.

Volunteers are needed for the next dates. Please contact Ms. Crawford, Assistant Principal at 770-447-6307 if you can help. Books may be donated at the school, at 45 South Cafe and at Norcross First United Methodist Church.
