NORCROSS, GA — A Duluth driver charged with vehicular homicide now faces drunk driving charges in a crash that killed two Stone Mountain siblings, Gwinnett County Police say. Cindy Catalan-Ordonez, 28, of Duluth was arrested on June 20 after the three-vehicle crash in Norcross and charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle, one count of reckless driving and failing to drive on the right side of the road.

On July 9, investigators received three additional warrants for Catalan-Ordonez for two counts of serious injury by motor vehicle and one count of driving under the influence. She remains in the Gwinnett County Jail, police said.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. on June 19 on Steve Reynolds Boulevard near Windward Lane in unincorporated Norcross. Authorities say Catalan-Ordonez was driving a Mitsubishi Endeavor northbound on Steve Reynolds Boulevard when she crossed into oncoming traffic. Her vehicle slammed head-on into a southbound Toyota Rav 4 driven by Rithy Kim, 38, of Stone Mountain.

Kim and passenger Rachana Tep, 37, were injured, while Vincent Kim, 8, and Kristin Kim, 14, died from injuries they suffered in the crash.

A Honda Civic driven by Jaleia Foxx, 22, of Norcross, was southbound behind Kim's Toyota; the impact of the initial collision pushed the Toyota backward into the Civic. Two passengers in Foxx's vehicle — Janelle Roberson, 22, and Emma Foxx, 1 — were injured in the crash, police said.

All the drivers and passengers were taken to a local hospital with varying levels of injuries.

"Though the loss of life in any traffic collision is terrible, it is especially heart-breaking when the death involves a child," the police department said. "Our thoughts are with the Kim family as they cope with the loss of both children."
