Norcross Restaurant Shooting Injures Man; Suspect At Large
Police are asking the pubic for help in finding the accused gunman.

NORCROSS, GA — Police on Tuesday issued an appeal, asking the public for help finding the accused gunman shooting at a Norcross restaurant that left a person with serious injuries.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m., June 6, in the 5900 block of South Norcross Tucker Road, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. Police identified Carlos Alvear-Olive, 44, as the accused gunman.
Police said Alvear-Olive inappropriately touched a woman's butt inside the restaurant and was escorted out. Alvear-Olive started to walk away from the restaurant after a brief conversation, police said.

He then grabbed a gun from his waistband, turned around and shot the person escorting him out of the restaurant, police said.
Police found the man in front of the restaurant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police said he was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Alvear-Olive was charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, theft by receiving and sexual battery, police said. His current location is unknown.
The victim remained Tuesday at a hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
