Norcross Woman Shot in Hotel Invasion
The shooting, at the Motel 6 on Oakbrook Parkway, happened late Sunday night.
NORCROSS, GA — A 33-year-old Norcross woman was shot in the stomach Sunday night during an invasion of her room at a local motel.
Police are seeking two suspects in the shooting, which happened at the Motel 6 at 6015 Oakbrook Pkwy. in Norcross at about 11:30 p.m.
Gwinnett County Police say the woman was sleeping in a bed inside her hotel room when two unidentified men knocked on the door.

Another occupant of the room opened the door, one of the invaders entered the room and the person who opened the door ran out.
The suspect ran backward out of the room, raised his handgun and shot into the room, striking the woman, whom police did not identify by name.

Both of the men ran away after the shooting.
The woman, who was able to speak to police and fire personnel who responded, was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. Her wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are seeking two suspects in the case. They are described as follows:
- Suspect #1: Black male, 25-35 years old, short hair, trimmed beard, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, white sweat pants and white shoes
- Suspect #2: Black male, wearing a white surgical mask, gray sweatshirt, gray cargo pants and blue shoes
