When officers arrived they found that Rodriguez had been shot while driving his vehicle.

Two adult, male passengers in his vehicle were not hurt.

Police say Rodriguez was driving when he saw a friend at the intersection of Graves Road and East National Circle having a verbal argument with two men.

He turned his car around and approached and, as he did, one of the men began shooting into his car, police said.

Rodriguez was hit by at least one bullet, causing him to accelerate his vehicle and strike a parked car and a fence, according to police.
