Victims Identified in Norcross Triple Shooting

Police are investigating whether an adult son killed his mother and sister before shooting himself.

NORCROSS, GA — The three family members dead after a Friday shooting in Norcross have been identified.

Gwinnett County Police on Monday identified the deceased as Josephine Roby-Skinner, 55, Jasmyn Skinner, 10, and Jermaine Roby, 26.

Police are still investigating the shooting and say the official manner and cause of death is still pending.

But, over the weekend, police said they were "investigating the possibility" that Jermaine Roby was the shooter, who killed his mother and sister before turning a gun on himself.

Police were called about 4 p.m. to the 700 block of Pebble Creek Drive in Norcross by the father who lives at the home.

He said he came home to find his wife, son and daughter dead from gunshot wounds.

Detectives are working to determine the sequence of events that took place before and during the shootings.
A news release said police also are investigating "why a tragedy like this would happen one week before Thanksgiving."

"By answering those difficult questions, our hope is that the impacted families will be able to grieve and begin healing," Gwinnett Police Cpl. Deon Washington said in the release.
