All-Female Powerlady Fitness Moves to Larger Space in Toco Hill
2018 Offers Full Line-up of Classes, Personal Training Options

Just in time for the new year, the all-female Powerlady Fitness moved from its original Toco Hill location to a larger space in near the center of the shopping center which is located at the intersection of North Druid Hills Road and LaVista Road in central DeKalb County. After more than 10 years in the same spot, Powerlady awaits the build out of its updated and greatly expanded new home in Toco Hill that is expected to be ready in about six months.
The move comes at just the right time as people begin to make resolutions for the new year and vow to exercise and get healthy.
“The beginning of the new year is a great time to focus on fitness and set goals for getting in shape,” said owner and manager Becky Brown. “We have classes for all levels of activity, from beginner to advanced. Our instructors are ready to help members set and meet their goals. My personal goal is to create and maintain an environment, where women can feel welcome, comfortable, empowered, involved, educated and successful.”

Benefits of exercise to kick off the new year:
- Starts the year with a focus on a healthy lifestyle
- Provides a break from work or family to focus on you. You can’t take care of anyone else if you don’t take care of yourself.
- Helps offset the holiday eating and drinking that happens.
- Reinforces good habits that often get lost in the shuffle of the holidays.
“Many women juggle an active family and a demanding full-time job every day,” said Mrs. Becky Brown, owner of Powerlady Fitness. “During the holidays, the stress really compounds. Women are looking for a way to de-stress and feel healthy. We offer not only a respite from their hectic schedules, but also exercise classes to refresh both body and mind.”

Open seven days a week, the center offers classes in yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, Zumba, and cycling. A complete schedule is available on location and on the website, www.powerlady.com.
Powerlady also offers the services of several certified trainers. A trainer will create a customized program to meet an individual’s goals.
Short-term price options such as a Drop-In fee of $15 for one class or $25 for a Week-long Pass are available. Full pricing options are listed on the website.
Another benefit at Powerlady Fitness is the availability of onsite childcare. “We know that many moms need convenient, affordable childcare or they won’t be able to come,” said Mrs. Brown. “We offer daily childcare, so there’s no excuse for skipping exercise.”
