The Classic Atlanta Big band, The Atlanta Seventeen, will play big band and modern day hits in the style of a 1940's radio show in their fifth appearance at Shallowford Presbyterian Church on Friday, November 14.  Doors open at 6 p.m.; music and dancing begin at 7 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.The band takes you on a musical excursion in sound by recreating the smooth and stylized arrangement of the famous groups from the big band era.  Guests should bring food, table decorations, place settings and non-alcoholic beverages for th Chastain-style concert setting.  And don't forget your dancing shoes.Tickets are $8 per person or $50 for a table of 8.  Registration is required and may be completed by phone or online at <a href="http://www.shallowford.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.shallowford.org</a>.  Childcare is free by request.  Shallowford Presbyterian Church, 2375 Shallowford Rd., Atlanta, GA 30345. 404.321.1844
