Christmas Eve Services Set for Shallowford Pres. Church
Interactive Family Service for children at 4; Traditional Candlelight at 7; Candlelight and Communion at 9:30

Shallowford Presbyterian, 2375 Shallowford Rd., offers four options for Christmas Eve worship.
10:00 a.m. – Morning Worship – Senior Pastor Chris Henry concludes his sermon series “What are you waiting for?” with the sermon titled “The Weary World Rejoices.”
4:00 p.m. – Family Service – Our Children’s Christmas Celebration will include an interactive retelling of the Christmas story (with costumes!), familiar carols, special music and a new take on candlelight (glowsticks!). This 40-minute service is planned with children as the primary congregation but all are welcome!

7:00 p.m. – Candlelight Service – The Service of Lessons and Carols is a beloved Shallowford tradition. The Christmas story is read, carols are sung, our bell choir, chapel (youth) and chancel (adult) choirs, and other instrumentalists offer the beautiful music of Christmas under the direction of Emily Floyd, senior pastor Chris Henry delivers a Christmas meditation, and we light candles of hope and joy on this sacred night. Nursery provided.
9:30 p.m. – Communion Service – This new service of Communion and Candlelight will include music from many gifted Shallowford instrumentalists and soloists, a Christmas meditation from senior pastor Chris Henry, a celebration of holy communion, and the opportunity to light candles as we join in song and celebration.
