Regardless of the theoretical approach of the counselor, a common activity in which those providing career counseling often engage is that of administering and interpreting the results of an assessment to a client or a student. The purpose of this presentation is to review a variety of such inventories, provide basic information about the psychometric properties of these tools, and demonstrate how the results of such inventories might be used in practice.
