Growing the Best Backyard Strawberries

Dennis Martin is a Georgian farmer and gardener with over 50 years experience “in the field”.  His favorite fruit is the strawberry. Since the mid 1990s he has used resources from

the University of Georgia, University of North Carolina, and University of Virginia to create a system allowing gardeners to grow big delicious farm-quality strawberries in their own backyard.  He has worked with individuals, subdivisions, communities, and churches to provide training using these techniques.

In this workshop he will cover bed selection, planting times and techniques, fertilization, watering, harvesting, and more. Strawberry plants will be available for sale at the workshop.
