Race to Nowhere May 10th
The Lakeside High School PTSA is proud to bring the documentary, "Race to Nowhere" to the Lakeside Auditorium on Thursday, May 10th at 7 pm. This film is a thought provoking look at our education system today. " Race to Nowhere" is a call to mobilize families, educators, and policy makers to challenge current assumptions about how to best prepare America's youth to become healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens. It is about the challenges youth face today where they are bombarded by academic standards, competing for educational opportunities and juggling runaway schedules. There are young people struggling to accommodate all the intense demands. It's a must-see for parents, students, educators and administrators.
