Lesbian Comics Arrive in the Nick of Time
Vickie Shaw and Jennie McNulty will be performing at City of Light MCC. In these tumultuous times, these 2 funny ladies help us to laugh.

Lesbian comics Vickie Shaw and Jennie McNulty are bringing their unique brand of clean and pointed, “Straight-friendly” comedy to City of Light MCC in Atlanta. Vickie, a recovering S.O.B. (SOuthern Baptist) and Jennie, whose comedy has taken her to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain the troops, are serendipitously arriving just in time with some healing laughter. The recent hate fueled tragedy in Orlando, the contentious, ugly political climate and battles over bathrooms have left this entire country feeling ill at ease and deeply saddened. Humor is, unquestionably, one of the best ways to get a message heard and, the laid-back yet on-point styles of these two women will do just that.
Shaw says she feels that “there’s just so much hate in our society’s consciousness right now we really need to love and to laugh. It feels good to get together and let loose for a bit. And, if we can make a few points along the way, that’s even more healing.” Jennie added: “It felt really weird promoting these shows the last two weeks (after the Orlando Tragedy). It seemed trivial to be talking about a comedy show, you know? But, as several people pointed out, now’s the time we really need laughter.”
Vickie Shaw, an out lesbian mother is famous for her hilarious portrayals of her 3 grown children, 3 “perfect” granddaughters and her partner, the infamous, “Sgt. Patch.” In addition Vickie has:
