On Saturday, March 21, 2015 the Lakeside High School Foundation is hosting “Bleacher Band-A-Palooza,” as it nears the finish line in its efforts to fund a set of bleachers on the school’s main athletics field. The community is invited to attend the event -- from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Briarcliff Woods Beach Club -- featuring three local bands, Occasionally Alice, The Jerks and Hailey Fletcher.
The new bleachers will create an opportunity for friends, families and fans come and watch soccer games, lacrosse matches, track and field events, homecoming activities, marching band practices and other community activities. The Foundation has raised $140,000 to finalize the bleachers, but needs an additional $20,000 - $25,000 to complete the project.
