May 6 Day of Service: Atlanta Turner Construction Employees Volunteer at Piedmont Park and Action Ministries

“Paint the Town Blue” is Company’s Annual Founders’ Day of Service

Piedmont Park: 9 a.m. - Noon, Piedmont Park (around the lake)

Action Ministries: 10 a..m. - 1 p.m., 2160 Hills Avenue, Suite F, Atlanta, GA 30318

What: On May 6, 2015, Turner Construction employees in Atlanta are joining forces with partners around the world in a day of community service. In Atlanta, more than 60 Turner volunteers will be volunteering at Piedmont Park and at Action Ministries.

In honor of the company’s 113 anniversary and its long history of community engagement, employees worldwide are organizing volunteer and community partnership efforts under the umbrella of the company’s “Paint the Town Blue” initiative.

When: Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. (see specific times by location below)

What / Where / Visuals:

• Action Ministries (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) - Volunteers will be making and bagging 1000 lunches for children and packing snacks in snack packs.

Why? Action Ministries focuses on helping Georgians with hunger relief, housing and education.

• Piedmont Park (9 a.m. - Noon) - Volunteers will assist with a range of general landscape maintenance projects, including maintenance around the lake, playgrounds, athletic areas.
