Perfect Pitch Competition

The Perfect Pitch Competition is geared towards Hispanic entrepreneurs who want to create, practice and present their business pitch.

To honor September as the start of the National Hispanic Heritage month, the University of Georgia (UGA) Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Office of Minority Business Development, ACE Women’s Business Center, and the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invite you to participate in the Perfect Pitch Competition on September 30, 2016 from 9:00am to 12:30pm at the UGA Gwinnett Campus, 2530 Sever Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.

The Perfect Pitch Competition is geared towards Hispanic entrepreneurs who want to create, practice and present their business pitch to a panel of industry professionals. Competitors will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in how to create a perfect pitch and compete for the chance to win $1,000, Website, $500, and $350 in cash prizes.

Based on the elevator pitch, the 90 second pitch series is based on the ability to present one’s business ideas in an eloquent, unique and engaging way in 90 seconds or less. Whether your goal is to start a new business, make new contacts, or a gain new customers for your company, a memorable pitch will take you to the next level with the right amount of preparation.

The competition is already guaranteed to have 90 attendees. Among these attendees, we will have Hispanic business owners, corporate supporters, and sponsors. According to Carolina Ramon, business consultant with the UGA SBDC Office of Minority Business Development (OMBD), “the goals of this event are to support the Hispanic business community by providing the tools and confidence when speaking with potential clients to bring in more business.”

In collaboration with the UGA SBDC-OMBD office, we bring an educational platform that encourages innovative strategies, and new business connections along with the opportunity to share your Perfect Pitch for a cash-prize” -Maria Peck, ACE.
