Powerlady Fitness in Toco Hill Shopping Center offers affordable, on-site childcare in the morning, late afternoon and early evening. Trained workers take care of the children in a clean, attractive room filled with toys and books at the fitness center. Moms can work out, take classes or hit the treadmill while their children play within view nearby.
“We know that many moms need convenient and affordable childcare or they won’t be able to come to the fitness center to exercise,” said Becky Brown, owner of Powerlady Fitness. “When childcare is readily available on site, it’s easy to schedule time with a trainer or just drop by for a class or quick workout.”
Moms can observe that their children receive personal, individual attention in a caring atmosphere. With a membership, the childcare cost is $10/month, unlimited; $5 per additional child; or $5 per visit for drop-in.

Fairleigh Butts (pictured), a full-time veterinary technician, brings her daughter Olivia with her regularly. “I picked Powerlady specifically for the location that is very near my home,” she said. “Being able to fit in exercise has been so important for all aspects of my life. Not only does it feel great to have that ‘me time’ but it also helps me to relieve stress after a busy day. I am a happier and healthier person for it!”
Powerlady Fitness in Toco Hill is open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday – Thursday; 6:00 am – 8:00 pm Friday; 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday and 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Sunday. A full service fitness center, it focuses on the needs of women. Becky Brown is the owner and manager.
