St. Pius All-American Represents U.S. in Triathlon
Junior Devon Dabney was one of eight girls last weekend representing the United States in the 2011 PATCO Triathlon Junior Pan Am Championships in Canada.

This past weekend, Dabney was granted another great opportunity: representing the United States in 2011 PATCO Triathlon Junior Pan Am Championships in Edmonton, Canada, Neighbor Newspapers reported.

“It was exciting because I did not think I was going to make it this year,” Dabney said. “It was a definite surprise.”
Dabney was one of four members of the USA Triathlon Southeast Junior High Performance Triathlon Team to qualify for the Pan Am championships.
She qualified by discretionary selection based on her 2010 race results and 2011 benchmark tests. She won one race in 2010 and came in as the second overall female in four others with a fourth overall finish and a third overall finish. She has come in second, third and fifth in three races this year.
