Throughout the entire season, the tennis program at has been a model of consistency with both the boys and girls ranked in the top-10 in the state polls. This trend has now rolled over into the playoffs. St. Pius cruised to victory in its opening round matches of the Georgia High School Association tennis tournament with the No. 2 seed boys claiming a 3-0 win over Heritage-Catoosa and the No. 2 seed girls beating LaFayette, 3-0. Up next for the Golden Lions, No.1 seed Gainesville while their female teammates will take on No. 1 seed Oconee County. Both matches take place on Wednesday, April 27. While St. Pius X swept through the first round, teams split matches versus Rockdale County. The No. 3 seed boys won their match 3-1; however, the girls, which played as a No. 2 seed, lost 3-1. 's boys face No.1 seed Pope, also on April 27.
