Where Has The Money Come From?

You see the yard signs; you’ve heard about the $30,000 study; you probably can guess that there is a lot of office and printing expense by these city organizations. You might wonder about all that money.

We don’t know the details about any of the other groups around, except that Lakeside announced that they got $5,000 from a Valdosta law firm that represents a couple cities around here. But we know where our money came from.

98 and 74/100% of our funds came from individuals and neighborhood associations in the Briarcliff city limits. Not quite up to the Ivory soap standard; but not bad in comparison to what has been done by others.

We weren’t particularly concerned about that initially; we just didn’t want to ask businesses. A couple volunteered some money; we didn’t think a couple hundred dollars would make anyone feel like we were obligated to them. $5,000 might be a little different.
